Fatal crash closes westbound Highway 401 after one person killed

Westbound lanes of Highway 401 were closed for several hours following a fatal collision Tuesday just south of Ingersoll.
One person has died after two tractor-trailers collided on Highway 401 near Ingersoll, Ont., on Wednesday night, according to provincial police from Oxford County.
Police say they were called to the scene of the collision on the westbound lanes of the highway, just south of Ingersoll, at around 10:30 p.m. When officers arrived, they found two tractor-trailers that had collided head-on.
One person was pronounced dead at the scene, while two others were taken to hospital with serious injuries.
The westbound lanes of Highway 401 were closed for several hours while police investigated the collision.
